| In this paper,according to Ningbo-Zhoushan port development and construction,it analysized terminal building,sea area traffic situation,remarkable increase of traffic flow and the complexity of the water area safety,put forward opinion that utilize NingBo VTS reasonably to reach the goal of early alerting & early control in the accident dangers.In that way,accidents in the ports could be decreased and the smooth port producing could be assured.Meanwhile,it studied the drawbacks in current NingBo VTS such as out-dated database systems,unskilled VTS staff,unscientific sea route planning,unreasonable setting of VHF channel,improper operation of inner procedures and the existence of radar blind sectors.Finally,it gave the corresponding sohitions of the problems above-mentioned.
