As the rapid development of the technologies, such as the industrial robots, CNC machine tools and the computer aided manufacturing, to meet the requirements of measuring and the digital servo system, it appears the special device converting the analog signal to the digital signal, in order to achieve the conversion of the signals in the controlling system of the self adjusting angle machine. For example, the digital converters for the self adjusting angle machine (SDC), the digital converter for the revolving transformer (RDC) and the reversing converters. These converters possess many advantages, such as high accuracy, good reliability, no whirligig, and no need to be adjusted. It is the ideal interface circuit between the computer and the controlling system, which is used in the target tracking of the fire controlling system, the anti-aircraft launchers servo system, and some other industry field. It can significantly improve the operation precision of the controlling device, and brings great convenience for the industry application. With the wide range of the application of the axis-angle converter, the measuring of the axis-angle converter module requires higher efficiency and accuracy. However, the traditional testing method mainly dependent on artificial, the efficiency is low, the manual performance process is troublesome, and the function is single. It's not convenient for the data statistics and analysis and the fault diagnosis. So, it becomes a trend to develop a kind of testing platform based on the combination of the automatic testing and fault diagnosis. According to the performance requirement of system, the following research is in this paper:1) Establish the automatic test system. In this part it introduces the basic concepts of the angle converter and test status of home, and an angle converter test platform bases on single-chip is designed in this paper. It completes designs of the hardware and software.2) The establishment of Fault diagnosis system. It establishes a database of test parameter and fault diagnosis knowledge, realizes fault diagnosis subsystem bases on combing of expert and fault-tree diagnosis method, and improves the efficiency of the test.This platform can test and debug angle converter and fault diagnosis, material and type selection of the entire test platform is reasonable and reliable, the main board has an independent testing and data recording and analysis capabilities; the main board has the function of PC-online, with the good characteristics of human-computer interaction of PC, the test platform has a wealth of data and graphics display and data analysis processing functions. The modular design concept is used in this system, with the characteristic of simple structure, low cost and high reliability.The rotary converter test platform overcomes the shortcomings that the traditional measurement efficiency is low and the operation is not convenient, which is easy to operate and improves the efficiency of the test.
