Energy efficiency and environment protection have become the focus of the whole world.In this economic recession background,nearly all countries are committing themselves to develop clean-energy resource vehicle.HEV,adopting ICE and electric motor as its power source,is the most promising vehicle type among EVs and possibly will become the domestic mainstream technical trend.On Feb 5th,2009, the minister of finance released the file "notice on expanding experimental units for energy-efficiency and new resources vehicle demonstration",thus providing a fine environment for developing clean-energy resource vehicle.The performance of the HEV is largely determined on the selection of its powertrain assembly.Besides,the powertrain assembly parameters match and the vehicle control strategy are also core technologies for HEV as well as the representation of the enterprise R&D capability.This paper takes this as the research object and the following three aspects are studied:The classification of the HEVs and their advantages and disadvantages for various types are firstly introduced.The vehicle driving cycle is the basis for HEV control strategy and the assembly parameter matching and also the basis of evaluating the HVE performance.So this paper chooses a proper propulsion configuration according to the compacted waste truck working conditions.Given the current technology level,the powertrain parts are selected based on the principle of high efficiency,energy saving and easy realized technologically.After the selection,the parameters match of the powertrain is calculated according to the HEV performance purpose.During this process,matching should be proceeded considering efficient area of each powertrain part so as to make them working in their respective high efficient area to their best abilities.The powertrain and the whole vehicle model are created in Matlab/Simulink environment.In reference of the Advisor simulation software vehicle control strategy, through editing M file,the sub-models are assigned values for different control strategy and thus simulation is done.At last the simulation results like fuel consumption,energy route,powertrain parts life and vehicle working stability are compared in different control strategy condition,therefore a best strategy is selected.The author bears the research work of the city HEV compacted waste truck and this paper contains parts of the fundamental research contents.The simulation results shows that the HEV compacted waste truck designed realize the purpose and have a better fuel consumption rate.Through this,the developing period is greatly reduced.
