Magnetorheological fluid damper is new type vibrant-damper device which is applied continuum and controllable magnetorheological effect of magnetorheological fluid.It is applied widely in vibrant controlling of vehicle,building and etc.because of its simple structure,wide range of damper force and controllable intelligent.In this paper,a new type magnetorheological fluid damper with structure of axial-winding is excogitated which is based the cut-valve work pattern and differentiated normal magnetorheological fluid damper with multilevel piston-radial winding structure.The damper has good working value latently which magnetic circuit structure is superior and damp performance is well,and offers reference for domestic magnetorheological technique research.Axial-winding magnetorheological fluid damper in cut-valve work pattern is advanced with its structure details and working features defined. According to magnetorheological mechanism and work pattern,models hydrokinetic of damper,analyzing transformed feature of magneto -rheological fluid from hydro-Newton to hydro-Bingham to export rheological function and formula of damper force.Then based on damper force formula,associating structure design and magnetic circuit design through structure design judgment to research its influence of important parameter,designs reasonable dimension and satisfied work need damper with axial winding structure,through additional associated FEM analysis of magnetic field to optimize its size.The FEM analysis of electromagnetic field to axial winding structure has analyzed the magnetic field of damper gap distributing equally and being similar with parallel flat magnetic field.Simultaneous FEM analysis of electromagnetic field to multilevel piston-radial winding structure analyzing the comparison of magnetic field to axial winding structure also has proved the axial winding structure improved magnetic field characteristics of damper,and favored magnetorheological effect to damper gap.Based on parameterized dynamic model of damper and FEM calculating of magnetic field,imitates magnetic performance of designed axial-winding structure damper with loaded various current,as well as its coulomb-force of magnetorheological effect and damper characteristics. According design measure to produce experimental sample,analyzes its magnetic feature and damper force from testing view.Experimental testing compared to imitation analysis has demonstrated that design method through structure design judgment associated structure design with magnetic circuit design is reasonable and high efficient,and magnetic field occurred in damper gap distributes equally and magnetic induction intensity contents anticipation,and coulomb-force of magnetorheological exploded by equal magnetic field also meets enactment.The tested damper coefficient indicates that dynamic model for theoretic characteristics accords research on the whole,performance of axial-winding damper accordingly satisfies investigation intents.
