Low frequency oscillation is quite an important problem which always affects the security and stabilization of power system.This paper concentrates on the research of power system low frequency oscillations on resonance mechanism,studying the characters of forced oscillation.However,the reason that the forced low frequency oscillation happened in large power grid is complex and unobvious,it is difficult to accurately locate the disturbance.The paper's main contents are as follows:1.In accordance with the resonance mechanism of low frequency oscillations,the characters of forced oscillations and the different disturbances are analyzed in this paper.2.To employ the advantages of Wide-area synchronous measurement system and the strategy of power system dynamic simulation validation based on WAMs,the paper proposes a time-varied impedance method on the hybrid dynamic simulation.3.Give the flow chart of hybrid dynamic simulation based on time-varied impedance, using the Prony analysis extracting the oscillation information and searching the disturbances of oscillation with hybrid dynamic simulation,the method was validated with test system.4.Try to search the disturbances of"513"low frequency oscillation of South Grid with the hybrid dynamic simulation.
