| Truss structures have been applied in the storage of petrochemistry .However, as we all know, the poor fire-resistant performance is the flaw of the steel structures . Under the fire,The load-bearing capacity that cause collapse of the roof would decline suddenly when the temperature reach about 500℃. At the present time, most designer prefer to use "the prescription method" which has two obvious disadvantage that over-protection causes higher budget and Inadequate security causes hidden danger of structure. In contrast, performance design analyse in connection with different structure styles. Icreasing attention has been payed to this method in the industry.Performance design has been used as an approach to the whole analysis and evaluation of fire protection performance in the polymer storage, in this paper , with LiaoNing HuaJin ethylene project, which belongs to China North Industries Group Corporation .1,under the fire, different stacking patterns that affect air temperature have been simulated by analysing the combustion properties of polymer in the storage.2,a reasonable fire-resistant distance has been set by consulting the fire dynamics theory .3,temperature distribution has been accounted in different time by establishing the fire scenarios to simulate smoke movement and heat transfer process which is based on the fire simulation software(FDS) in the paper.4,the finite element software has been used to simulate and calculate the strength of trussstructure when a fire breaks out.5,Base on the heat transfer theory ,simulate the situation that the temperature rise to knowthe loss of the truss structure strength, and argue the effectiveness of fireproof coating infire-resistence.6,All these works has been done to make sure the structure will not break under incomplete combustion, be repairable and not collapse untile flammable complete combustion which is also the target of performance-based fire protection in the paper. 7,Caculation results have been applied to the ethylene project in Liaoning Huajin Group ,and achieved fine economic merit. |
