With the constant development of science and technology and the actual production required,big chain wheel are being put into a higher level: small quantities and many species develop in the direction of the flexible manufacturing,more and more high-precision manufacturing,low-cost,short cycle. strengthening the study on the new efficient large-diameter sprocket tooth trench processing system has been a priority of the agenda.At present, there are many processing methods,but there are a variety of disadvantage: low efficiency,large consumption of labor,high cost and so on.Such as traditional processing methods,usually the processing of double-arc tooth sprocket,use the shape tool (milling cutter or hob),if a small number and variety of different specifications,then the Factory at the general create the appropriate tools,according to information,24A tool takes more than 6000 RMB,32A should be more than 7000 RMB,but the more non-standard processing,the higher cost,so the large sprocket new processing system has been given top priority.After comparison of several processing methods,the paper chose to WEDM processing large sprocket groove.Even though EDM cutting technology has the advantages and can be used as a way of cutting large sprocket, but its slow and inefficient cutting have become a large exent shortcomings.At present,workpiece is placed along the X, Y coordinates of two-axis movement of table, driven by the table in accordance with the processing to exercise track interpolation. Wire electrode at a fixed wire shelves only does do closed loop mechanical exercise, dosen't do X, Y direction of movement, cutting at a certain range because of their mobile device limitations, the need for downtime for manual rotation of the workpiece for the next cutting , which is not continuous molding process.For the teeth of the cutting groove, this time not only to extend the cut, but each time the impact of artificial spin easy positioning accuracy and reduce processing efficiency.Therefore,we consider to improve the current HS-WEDM,while maintaining the accuracy of the original cutting,the use of many power, multi-electrode wire and rotating workpiece to improve the cutting efficiency and reduce labor consumption. Therefore, we proposed an electrode wire system installed in the X, Y coordinates table and the workpiece mounted on a rotation around its axis fixed table. This wire-electrode will cut for interpolation along the X, Y direction, the workpiece itself do X, Y direction of movement, only their own rotation.Whenever after processing a tooth, the workpiece rotation angle, so not only instead of artificial rotating the workpiece, but also to ensure that the positioning accuracy and improve processing efficiency. In order to rotate the workpiece in place, we have adopted as a sub-degree rotating disk carrying Units, through the motor to drive.
