Fans are kinds of a follower of fluid machinery, which are widely used for smoke removal and ventilation in the places such as tunnels, underground garages, high buildings, metallurgy, factories, mines, and so on. A fan's state of work can be known from the parameters, for instance, conveying flux, full-pressure, and requiring efficiency, among which there exists a corresponding relationship. In practice, these relationships are usually depicted by the dataes gained from experiments and tests. In this paper, the author designed an intelligent computer_acid system for fans with the function of automatic testing and real-time monitoring. This system based on the existing experimental facilities for fans is a combination of electronic technology, computer technology, data processing technology and configuration software technology. The paper first adopted the least-square method for fitting equations which reflect the actual performance of the fan, then depicted points into a line under the appropriate step according to the curve equations, finally present them on the screen of a computer. In this case, the curves plotted are little distorted and beautiful, more easily reflecting the performance of the fan. The subsystem, based on single-chip microprocessor, was designed to detect multiple parameters of fans, which were instanly sent to the top computer. The computer then processed the data to gain other parameters and drawed charts for query, display and print. The system also has the ability to adjust to the status of fans, controlling speed of the motor and air volume accordingly. To ensure the stability of the system and the correct- ness and reliability of the datum, the author identified the sources of interferences and took corresponding measures to prohibit the system from interference. The system was applied to a test to verify its performance. During the trial process, the modules have been tested and the data error definitely met the requirements of the fan factory test.
