The commonly used solutions of axially symmetrical elastic space problem are general solution by A.E.H. Love and general solution by R.V. Southwell. Based on the Southwell method, the author of this paper derived a new form of general solution for axially symmetrical elastic space problems by making use of the Love's procedures. Analytical solution of cement concrete pavement slab is based on infinite slab. However, the pavement slab is finite. There is certain relationship between the two kinds of slabs. Calculating and analyzing for infinite slab on Winkler elastic foundation, the dimension limits that the finite slab takes place of infinite one are obtained. The theory of thin slab is based the Kichhoff hypothesis, which results in inherent error. Based on finite layer method, the cause of the error is found. With tensile stress, amount of the error and the relationship between the error and K, E, H of the slab are obtained. Non-uniform support of the foundation brings about additional stress of the slab. The cognition is a perceptual knowledge. Taking a kind of uneven foundation as a example, this paper compares of the difference of even and uneven foundation in the slab fixed restraint on four sides on Winkler elastic foundation. Meanwhile, the paper analyses the influence degree resulted by uneven foundation.
