An arch bridge with two independent inclined steel box ribs, with a great of aesthetic value, is largely used to be the landscape of urban. However, its novel model makes its conformation and stress analysis to be quite a complicated subject, and the researches on it are less at home and abroad. This paper, based on 1st River Bridge of the Chan Ba Ecological Zone in Xi'an, will establish the space model for this kind of bridge with the Ansys software, and then study its ultimate strength capacity and influence factors.First of all, this paper investigates and analyzes the status quo about the development of steel arch bridge and the researches on ultimate strength. Secondly, the paper, according to the basic theory of the steel arch bridge's stability, brings forward the way to select the units in the finite element modeling and how to establish this model. In the first type of stability analysis, the first four buckling characteristic numbers are calculated, and the Influencing factors to instability, such as the stiffness of the arch rib, the load distribution form, the extroversion angle of the arch rib, the bending rigidity of the stiffening beam, the stiffness of end cross beam are analyzed. For the analysis of ultimate strength capacity, stress and deformation under live load are calculated through the geometrical nonlinear, material nonlinear and double nonlinear theory, the Influencing factors to ultimate strength capacity, such as the stiffness of the arch rib, the load distribution form, the extroversion angle of the arch rib, the bending rigidity of the stiffening beam, material strength are analyzed. The study indicate: In the first type of stability analysis, it illuminates that the stiffness outside is less than the stiffness inside in the an arch bridge with two independent inclined steel box ribs, and that the stiffness of the arch rib, the load distribution form and the bending rigidity of the stiffening beam have a greater influence on the first type of stability. For the analysis of ultimate strength capacity, it proves that material nonlinear has more influence on the ultimate strength capacity than the geometrical nonlinear, and that the load distribution form and material strength have a great influence on the ultimate strength capacity.The Research on this paper, on the one hand, provides the technical support for the operational management of 1st River Bridge of the Chan Ba Ecological Zone in Xi'an, on the other hand, it is the good foundation for studying the stability analysis of the arch bridge with two independent inclined steel box ribs further in the future.
