With the industrial development and manufacture-scale expanding, the shell and tube condenser tends to large-scale, then, the span of non-supported tube bundle is increased and the rigidity of condenser is decreased. In the same time, the shellside velocity getting fast with the improving of condenser efficiency, as a result, the phenomenon of breakage of condenser caused by flow-induced vibration is increased. Therefore, study on flow-induced vibration in condenser has been becoming an important research topic. In this paper, the characteristics of tube bundles of condenser, the mechanism of flow-induced vibration and the computational method of model and vibration radiation etc.are analyzed. The main work in the paper are as follows:1 .The characteristics of condenser tube bundles is comprehensively analyzed by the way of numerical simulation. Influence factors of the modal characteristic of condenser tube bundles which include the supporting component of condenser tube bundles, temperature and stress, the structure of condenser and the interaction relation between fluid and tube bundles is discussed.2.Acoustics and Vibration is analyzed by using FEM/BEM. The influence factors of acoustics and vibration of condenser which include lift, drag and position of baffles is studied.3.Simulating the flow-induced vibration of the circular cylinder by using the ANSYS/Flotran CFD software, analyzed with the Fast Fourier Transform, the power spectrum of displacement is obtained, and then the frequency of the vortex shedding is derived. The analysis of calculation results leads to useful conclutions.4.Simulating the vibration of fluid and solid interface by using the Ansys parametric Design Language. Finishing the computation of fluid flow-induced vibration of shell tube bundles. Discussing the response of fluid flow-induced vibration of condenser.
