The fiber optic hydrophone was developed to satisfy the urgent demands of underwater acoustics applications, especially for anti-submarine purposes. This new underwater acoustic sensor based on optical fiber and optoelectronics technology is now well developed and widely used in military and civil applications.The principle, configuration, operating-point choice, signal demodulation method are studied. This paper analyzes the influence of light source spectrum, temperature and mode spplitting on performance of fiber optic hydrophone. We use computer to simulate the influence of mode spplitting on resonance curve and also put up corresponding experiment. The result of the experiment accords well with the simulation.This paper researches the PGC signal processing method of interferometric fiber-optic hydrophone. It also introduces principles of phase generated carrier generation, analyzes relation between system index and some parameters. We simulate the whole process of PGC method, and bring forward a more appropriate method, which is simulated too, of PGC signal demodulation for Fabry-Parot Optical Fiber Hydrophone.
