Seafloor reverberation is one of the important interference to sonar performance in the course of object detection and recognition. Therefore, it is important to study its theory model and statistical properties to sonar detection and anti-reverberation technology. In this thesis, the orthogonal experiment method was adopted to study the correlation of horizontal bistatic seafloor reverberation. And the effect of the transmission signal and seafloor environment parameter on the spatial-temporal correlation was mainly analyzed. Firstly, a seafloor simulating model was built by using the element scattering model based on the generating process of the seafloor reverberation. It divided the scattering element by the seafloor scattering coefficient. After a problem that seafloor scattering element was difficult to divide in horizontal bistatic reverberation simulation was solved in the process of simulating, a model was built for horizontal bistatic reverberation simulation. Secondly, the orthogonal experimental method was adopted to design overall simulation test. In this process, many different aspects such as transmission signal of different form envelope and directivity of acoustic transducer were considered and studied. Finally, in case of sending omnidirectional single frequency signal and omnidirectional linear frequency modulation signal and unomnidirectional CW signal, the influence on the correlation characteristic of the seafloor reverberation by relative radius of seafloor scattering coefficient, angle factor, signal frequency and pulse width, etc. was compared, then the relative conclusion of the influence on the temporal and spatial correlation characteristic by transmission signal parameter and seafloor environment parameter and the rules of correlation characteristic changing with these parameters were obtained. Moreover, the relative conclusion was partially approved with experiment.
