The quality of fuel-oil atomization plays a very important role in performance and release of boiler combustion process. If the quality is not good enough, it will lead to accumulate carbon in the combustor and temperature vary greatly at the outlet and lead releasing hydrocarbon to exceed the standard. So the research of nozzle, especially the quality of fuel-oil atomization is very significant.According to the research of swirling air-liquid coaxial nozzle in cold state, the paper performs characteristic of the quality of fuel-oil atomization and analyze the relationship among the oil pressure, flux, spray angle and particle diameter by experiments. It also analyzes the quality of fuel-oil atomization by numerical simulation software. The calculation results could be very identical to the experimental results, thus proving the reasonability of simulating calculation models selected for the atomization process. Moreover, it analyzes the quality of fuel-oil atomization when boiler air distribution is under the normal condition and supercharged condition. And it will be the base of the combustion research.
