Chang Chun north interchange overpass is a large hub interchange overpass at the start point of the Chang Chun—Song Yuan section of Hunwu highway, which is an important construction project of the eleventh five-year plan. It is also the critical interchange overpass of regional traffic unification according to"The Development Plan of Highway and Waterway in Revitalizing the Old Industrial Base of the Northeast", and it is the main exit from Chang Chun to Song Yuan, Bai Cheng and Harbin. It is connected to the highway from Chang Chun to Hun Chun, the highway from Chang Chun to Ying Chengzi and the highway from Chang Chun to Si Ping by the express highway circling city.In order to carry out the design concept of"safety, environmental protection, convenience and harmony"fully, this paper discusses comprehensively on keeping the healthy operating conditions of the interchange region according to the various problems appeared in the operating period of several interchange overpasses.1. This paper does a great deal of research on reflecting safety conception in design, and it proposesse and takes the design which is facilitated to traffic safety. It analyses and discusses the reason of choosing the design, and it inducts and summarizes the design principle that should be taken in the design of interchange overpasses.
