Hydropower is cheap,no environmental pollution and has high reliability.It is regarded highly more and more.Hydropower system has already become an important part of the power system.It has already become an urgent problem for water resources development that making use of water resource appropriately and improving the hydropower plants economic effect.The raising economic effect is decided by the optimization operation condition in system hydropower plants on certain degree.The economic operation way and the algorithm in a hydropower plant and cascaded hydropower plants is studied deeply.The main works are as follow:①The hydropower plants optimization operation purpose and studied current situation are introduced.The existent operation criterion and optimize algorithm are discussed too.②Economy operation model in the working hydropower plants have been studied,and analysed optimum the number of working engine sets and combination, engine sets start-open reasonably and distributed optimum in running engine sets load's one by one and so on,to get optimum operation way in hydropower plants.③Hydropower plants flow regulation type and their working way of cascaded hydropower plants optimization have been analysed,and mathematic model has been suggested that cascaded hydropower plants reservoir group optimum dispatching.The paper has studied dynamic programming basal principle and algorithm,that are adopted widespread in optimizing dispatching in hydropower plants.④Water consumption minimum is taken as optimization criterion,and two-stage dynamic programming to realize the space optimization and the time optimization is adopted.It is optimum in running the engine set to dispatch power station load. Hydropower plants economy running the general schedule is worked out,thereby, hydropower plants operation condition going down each engine sets in any given load is ascertained out,and space optimization is realized;According to hydropower plants daily load curve that the power system dispatch issued,optimum power plant operation plans are worked out,including optimal start-open plans and the various engine set a day output curve and achieving optimum time,a calculation of the optimal operation of hydropower plants.⑤According to cascade system load map and the installed capacity of the power plants,the hydropower plants load is dispatched firstly,and then every hydropower station optimization of economic operation is turned to optimization under the decision-making flow of the power plant under,until the objective function value in the subsystem no longer increases after optimization.Dynamic programming is used to optimize Yubeishan cascade hydropower plants scheduling calculation.The use of this has more obvious advantages than the current scheduling method.
