Pre-stressed frame has many advantages,such as bigs pan,good structure property,economizing reinforcing bar, flexible technology, and so on.It has been extensively used in civil engineering in our country.The complication of the design of pre-stressed frame places some restrictions on its use.To study deeply pre-stressed frame in the combination of theory and design method,push forward its application and development,alleviate the designers'hardness, and make the most of the strong point of calculation and data disposal of the computer, on the basis of the current code and the designers'experience ,it is a try to develop a complete CAD system of pre-stressed concrete frame system.In the system there is much function including data input in man-machine conversation, creating model, loading calculating, calculating force, designing element and displaying and output the drawing and calculating data.The CAD system is a useful and convenient tool in the design of pre-stressed concrete frame system.The Object-Oriented programming of the system is adapt to Windows VITAS and developed by the computer language visual C++6.0.There are many advantages in the system such as good result and output,readability and expanding easily and so on.The design of pre-stressed frame is introduced in detail,it includes:1. the computation of stress loss in curve type of pre-stressed reinforcing bar.2. the computation of equivalent loads,synthetical moment,second moment.3. the computation of pre-stressed reinforcing bar and its quantity.4. the test in constructing and using stage.5. the computation of reinforcing bar and its quantity of column.6. the using method of this system.
