Along with more and more serious environment polluting problems all over the world and reduce of fossil fuels which are limited conservation under the ground, people are thirsted for exploitation and use of renewable and sustainable energy. The rapid progress on technology for wind energy conversion system has made wind energy to be one of the most important renewable and sustainable energy. Current wind energy conversion system translates the wind energy to mechanical energy by wind turbine, and then converts to electricity by generator. For wind turbine, according to the direction of the revolving shaft in space, wind turbine is divided into two types, one is Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine (HAWT for short), and the other is Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT for short). And the VAWT is famous for Darrieus type.In the beginning, we analysis the load of structure, discuss the numerical simulation of random fluctuating wind. And then, introduce the static calculating method of wind turbine. Using the ANSYS finite element software, we do the static analysis of structure, and verify the strength, Stiffness of initial design. At the same time, discuss the reasonable range of cable initial stress. In the dynamic analysis of wind turbine structure, realize the natural vibration characteristics and different order modal,provide the prove of the structure vibration control. Utilizing the simulative pulsation wind time history, we do transient dynamic analysis on structure, know the dynamic response and provide the reference on subsequent structural vibration reduction. At last, we discuss the problem of structural vibration control and compute the dynamic response of structure after damper installation. Contrasting to previous result, there is vibration reduction effect of damper that is estimated, in order to providing the further design.By analyzing the static, dynamic, vibration control of 1MW VAWT structure, we verify the structure strength, stiffness and then bring about the reasonable selection range of cable initial stress. At the same time, we know the natural vibration characteristics, give the reference and prove of future detaling design of VAWT.
