External sticking of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) plates or sheets has emerged as a popular method for the strengthening of Masonry structures and expanding quickly. By considering the bond-slip behavior between FRP and Masonry, This paper based on the numerical analytical model for masonry wall with pilaster reinforced with FRP and use it to take numerical simulation. The major contributions of the work presented in this thesis are listed as follows:1.Based on the existing experimental research, theoretical formula and engineering application, take an analysis and comparison of existing shear strengthen model using existing experimental data, point out its rationality and deficiency.2. Based on the experiment research and numerical simulation, take the numerical experiment of 60 pieces of un-reinforced masonry wall and 720 pieces of masonry wall reinforced with FRP, analyze the shear strength of masonry wall strengthened with FRP and FRP shear contribution, by considering the masonry aspect ration, compression strength, vertical load(axial compression ratio), kinds of FRP and reinforcement ratio of FRP .3. By considering the influence of masonry aspect ratio ,an ultimate shear strength formula of un-reinforced masonry is proposed by modifying current Code for design of masonry structures , The modified formula match the numerical simulation results well.4.By considering the influence of masonry axial compression ratio, aspect ration and kinds of FRP, an maximum reinforcement ratio model for different kinds of FRP is proposed .5. Based on a truss model, using interfacial bonding force as a replacement of the FRP pull load , get the Synthetic Coefficientαby taking nonlinear regression of FRP shear contribution , and propose the formula of shear capacity of masonry wall strengthened by FRP, which has an excellent coincidence with the numerical simulation results and test results.6.Combined with current Code for design of masonry structures and consider the reliability of FRP shear contribution, a design formula of shear capacity of masonry wall reinforced by FRP is proposed and can be used for further study or a reference for engineering application.
