People become more and more concernment with the running safety of the automobile as the keeping progress of the automobile industry and the built of the high way. ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) can reasonable distribute the brake force and improve the safety of the automobile. So ABS becomes the standard equipment assembly in most cars.A new car comes into the market by TJFAW, in 2006. And the ABS is standard equipment. This abs produced by SABS. We matched successfully after 14 months untiring effort and equipped it with the car.At first, the paper introduces the developing history of the ABS, the present development and the developing orientation of the ABS. It expounds the improvement of the ABS and introduces the performance evaluation the ABS in different country.Then it introduces the theory and the control method of the ABS. First, it introduces the basic principium of the brake, including the causation of the sliding, the relation between the road force, the detent force and the adhesion force, the relation between slide ration with coefficient of adhesion force. After that, it induces the control principium and control methods in four different roads. ABS is based on the method of logic doorsill according to related standard and rules. The basic theory is regard the wheel acceleration (or angle acceleration) as primary logic doorsill value and the slide ratio as the minor logic doorsill value. The control method in high adhesion road, low adhesion road, driving from high adhesion road to low adhesion road and distribute road is different. ABS can class in single channels, double channels, three channels and four channels based on control channels. At last it introduces the match of the ABS equipment in the car.After describing the technical theory and controlled method of ABS, we described some basic parameter and brake design of the car ulteriorly. The brake design contains the calculation of braking performance, braking force and braking intensity, the ideal curve of braking force distribution, the fact braking force distribution and so on. We also draw the composing and operation principle of ABS system. ABS system is made up of the control cell of ABS, speed sensor,warning lamp,brake indicator switch, diagnostic interface and traditional mechanical brake system. ABS used building pressure process, decompressing process, keeping pressure process and increasing pressure process to regulate the brake pressure of vehicle.The car which equipped with ABS is needed to satisfy the demand of CBS and some special requirements. The demand of CBS contains braking performance, the stability of braking performance and direction when braking. We set down the criterion of the car equipped with ABS according to GB/T 13694-2003.The match procedure of the car ABS includes: signing up contract, preparing a car and other provision. Only the car has been tested on road can product. The tests on road contain :test on the highμroad and test on the lowμroad, which we usually call summer test and winter test. The tests are as follows:The braking performance test on the lowμroadThe stability of braking ,the capacity of steering and manipulating test on the lowμroadThe appraisement of comfort(noise, pedal sense) when braking on the lowμroadThe brake performance test on the highμroadThe brake performance,the capacity of steering and manipulate test on the highμroadThe appraisement of EBD on the highμroadThe appraisement of comfort (noise, pedal sense) when braking on the highμroadAfter completing test, we found that the brake performance of test car which equipped with MK60 ABS is more excellent than reference car in all condition when braking in the straight road. Although the brake performance of the test car is less excellent than reference car when braking in crooked road, the test car is distinctly better than reference car in the invariance of brake and the capacity of steering when braking. the brake performance of the test car is better than reference car when braking in fluky road. The function of the test car is in gear in the EBD.In sum: the brake efficiency, the invariance of brake performance and comfort when braking of the car which equipped with MK60 ABS is better than reference car in all test condition as a whole.After test, we should do something for assembling car. When all has finished,we equipped the ABS with the car.
