Abstract/Summary:
According to the statistics publicized by the Transportation Administration office of Police Ministry, the death toll of pedestrian and cyclist in traffic accident during 2000, 2001 and 2002 in China are 6414, 7046, 6798, which are6.83%,6.65%,6.22% of the traffic accident death toll of that year respectively.Knee injury is deemed to the most serious among all the injuries because it probably can induce people disabled for long-time.Based on the analysis of characteristic of traffic accident, mechanism of injure on pedestrian head, bonnet and according to the regulation of EEVC WG10, the thesis advanced that we can use CATIA V5,Hyper-mesh to set up the 3D-model and finite element model of head form and bonnet, and then carry through the simulation and calculation in LS-DYNA software.In the thesis we compared the conclusion of simulation with the regulation of EEVC to analyze feasibility, validity, merit and shortcoming of this method. The conclusion also affords reference for the research of pedestrian protects and the design of bonnet structure based on the safety of pedestrian. At the same time, it has some referenced value for establishing the regulationThe main contents of this paper are as follows:1. It Introduced the present condition and the experiment methods of the pedestrian protects, summarized the research method of automobile passive safety, and the latest development state, also introduced the research of pedestrian protection and the software generally used in simulation.2. The theory of the explicit nonlinear finite element which is largely adopted in the crash simulation software is introduced.3. In this paper, the finite element model of bodywork which included head and bonnet was built.4. In this research, the 3D-model of head-form and bonnet were built in CATIA, and then transmitted it into Hyper-mesh to form finite element model. It also defined the basic parameter.5. During the research we accomplished the process of simulation for the crash between auto bonnet and head-form, gained valuable simulation curve. We compared the data with the regulation of EEVC and proved that this means of simulation can afford valid reference for the design of auto structure based on pedestrian protect.
