In recent years, scholars are gaining attention to deck pavement with the increase of bridge cracking, spalling and other damage of deck pavement. In particular as the construction of bridges of large span and steel or steel concrete composite girder bridges, bridge deck pavement technology become a research hotspot. However, these studies focused on the mechanical analysis of pavement without taking into account the composite effect of the main structure, and mainly focus on long-span steel bridge, there all are some limitations. Diseases of Pavement Analysis and Prevention and the application of new material are studied in the area of Small and medium-sized concrete bridge pavement, while the research of congruence effect of deck pavement is rare.In fact, with the application of new materials, as well as improving construction measures of bridge deck pavement, the durability of pavement layer is enhanced. Especially for pre-stressed plate girder bridge, with the using of necessary structural measures, the connection between pavement layer and plate girder bridge is in good condition, thus the pavement should be considered while researching on bridge's mechanical behavior. Through the access to literature at home and abroad, we can see that plate girder bridge destruction is mainly caused by crushing of the concrete compression zone, when consider the impact of pavement ,it is an area of increased concrete compression zone in essence, thereby enhance the carrying capacity of the structure. In order to make clear the congruence effect in small and medium-sized bridge's mechanical behavior, and to make use of congruence effect of pavement layering, through the combination of mechanical theoretical calculation and the method of finite element analysis, the issue of congruence effect is researched in the paper. The full text is divided into five chapters, chapter III and IV are the core of this article. The contents of specific study are as follows: The first chapter analyzes the domestic and international research, and outlines the purpose and significance of the study. The traditional structural design and calculation doesn't consider that the structure of pavement work together with the main girder, and neglects the influence of deck pavement in structure mechanical behavior. In order to make clear the congruence effect in small and medium-sized bridge's mechanical behavior as well as to make use of congruence effect of pavement layering. This article will build finite element models to analyze mechanical behavior of single-girder as well as the whole bridge's transverse distribution of load. Then, demonstrate the need for consideration of congruence effect between deck pavement and main girder in the calculation of the structural design.Chapter II adopt space theory of girder bridges, through the study of basic mechanical conception of composite concrete structure , analyze mechanical behavior of single-girder as well as the whole bridge's transverse distribution of load in the theory while take congruence effect into consideration . In the theory analyse of a single girder's ultimate bearing capacity, deck pavement and plate girder become composite structure, the bond between them is in good condition, deck pavement is a part of stressed member and the whole composite structure is different from the single plate girder in mechanical behavior. In the theory analyse of transverse distribution of loads of the whole bridge, after the compare of common analysis theory of transverse distribution of load, this chapter is focused on hinge-joined plate method and the finite element method. After deck pavement and plate girder become composite structure, the transverse distribution coefficient of the bridge will have some change, which shows that congruence effect between deck pavement and main girder have a certain impact of transverse distribution of bridge loads. The two theoretical analysis above will be verified and realized in chapters III and IV through the finite element simulation software ANSYS.Based on elastic-plastic theory of reinforced concrete material, by use of finite element software ANSYS, Chapter III carry out the numerical simulation of a rectangular cross-section plate girder analysis. Three models are built to compare and analyze the impact of deck pavement's congruence effect to a single plate girder. These three models are rectangular cross-section plate girder without deck pavement, plate girder with deck pavement but without consideration of slip effect of the main girder and the one with deck pavement at the same time with consideration of slip effect of the main girder. Through the comparison and analysis of three model's results, we can know the impact of deck pavement's congruence effect and slip effect to the single plate girder. These results shows that deck pavement will improve mechanical behavior of the girder obviously. With deck pavement, the girder's Stiffness and bearing capacity will enhance, while the deflection will decrease. But with consideration of slip effect between the main girder and deck pavement, the girder's Stiffness and bearing capacity will decrease, while the deflection will increase.Chapter IV analyzes the deck pavement's congruence effect to the whole bridge's mechanical behavior. Models of the simply supported plate girder bridge with deck pavement and without deck pavement are built; loads are applied on the two models and the loads transverse distribution coefficient of the bridge can be gained. Through the comparison and analysis of model's transverse distribution coefficients with pavement and without deck pavement, we can declare a series of conclusions. With deck pavement, all the girder's transverse distribution coefficient decrease obviously. The curves of each girder's transverse distribution coefficient tend to flat with deck pavement and girders working together, which shows that deck pavement can effectively serve to simply supported plate girder bridge and share the load with the girders as well as make girders uniformly forced.Chapter V is a summary of the full text .It gives a general explanation of the course of the work which has done, the content and direction of the work that should continue to study is raised as well.
