The sources of the engine's vibration are variable, and the vibrating system is a macro-complex one which has uncertainties and non-linear actions. The vibration of vehicle diesel engine is an important attribute to judge its working quality, and its working state can be sensitively reflected by the engine's vibrating signals, for these are very sensitive parameters that can reflect the inner relations effectively. Vibrating signal analysis-based monitoring system of the diesel engine can improve the engine's working efficiency, discover the fails in time and increase the vehicle's safety and reliability.The intelligent diagnostic technology based on monitoring and analyzing vibrating signals of the vehicle diesel engine is a hot topic nowadays. To realize the efficient diagnose of the vehicle diesel engine or potential abnormalities, the paper developed an identifying system of the vehicle diesel engine's vibrating signals including noise by using chaotic and fractal theory, and its main working situations and originality innovations as follows:(1) Discussed the vibrating signal processing theory and methods of the vehicle diesel engine, the present application of vibrating signal processing and identifying project, the chaotic and fractal's qualitative and quantitative description, etc.(2) Analyzed the processing theory and methods of the vehicle diesel engine's vibrating noise signal, based on the fusion of EMD and wavelets, the algorithm and its simulation of antihum process, the vibrating and noise signal processing theory and methods of the vehicle diesel engine, the chaotic and fractal diagnose of the vibrating signal's temporal series, the realization of chaotic and fractal identify, etc.(3) The realization of chaotic and fractal identify of vehicle diesel engine's vibrating signal, including noise.
