| In order to optimizing the performance of WD615.46 diesel engines, cooling system, power system, intake and exhaust system and suspension system of the engines are optimizing designed and experimental investigated.First, the effects of intercooler resistance on engine performance are investigated , results show that, at the rated condition, the rated power is down 0.86% and fuel consumption increase 0.55% when intercooler is 18kPa compared with it is 2kPa. As the increasing of intercooler resistance, the performance indicator of engine (Torque, Power and Fuel consumption) appears low-amplitude deterioration trend.As the intake resistance increasing, the performance of WD615.46 diesel engine becomes worse . Comparing with the condition that intake resistance is 0.85kPa, when intake resistance becomes 7kPa, the rated power, is down 1.47% while the fuel consumption increases 2.71%. When intake resistance is 8kPa, comparing with 0.85kPa, the rated power is down 1.735% and fuel consumption increases 2.93%. So we recommend that when filter of WD615.46 is contaminated, the intake resistance should not exceed 7kPa.Via changing exhaust back pressure, we got that when exhaust back pressure of WD615.46 engine is 18kPa, rated power (torque) is down 2.18% and fuel consumption increases 2.32% compared with exhaust pressure is 4kpa. As increasing of exhaust back pressure, engine performance indicator appears linear deterioration trend.When the width of cooling fan changes from1/3 to 2/3, the effect of heat dissipation isn't obvious. When the width variety of cooling fan reaches 1/2, the effect of heat dissipation is a bit better than it in other position. |
