| With the development of social economy and people's living standards, their requirements for shopping areas become higher and higher, which can not be satisfied by the single way of shopping. While the one-stop shopping that combines entertainment, dining and other services has shown its incomparable competitively. However, the construction of shopping centers in China now focuses on expanding them, ignoring the importance and complexity of the function cooperation. There is a sharp contradiction between the white-hot enthusiasm for construction and the immature design, development and management. And it becomes an urgent need to find a suitable construction design which can stand the change of times, decrease the gap between developed countries and our own, lessen the impact of foreign enterprises after entering WTO, and provide people with a place where they can express their personality, enjoy happiness and life. This thesis will take Retail & Entertainment Destination as a study object, focusing on the disadvantage of theme-lacking and dull experience in traditional shopping destinations. Through field research, statistic induction and exemplary analysis, it has also summarized and developed related theories home and abroad, analyzed retail & entertainment destination, this new form of construction, and given thought to the economic marketing and psychology of consumers, and further summarizes the new trend in developing shopping destinations. With the expectation of imaging the Big from the Small, this thesis aims at waking architects to reconsider and explore the construction design under the wave of experience economy, and use design to direct construction, lead consumption, activate vigor of cities and promote social development.This thesis has four parts. Chapter 1 brings out the subject and gives the definition to the research object, retail & entertainment destination. Besides, Chapter 1 introduces the research methods, background of subject selection, and the significance of this research. Chapter 2, 3 and 4, from the perspective of the historical process of economic construction, the development model of retail & entertainment destination, and psychology of consumers, deal with the analysis of subject and summarize the basic characteristics and influencing elements of retail & entertainment destination. Chapter 5 is to give answer to the subject, coming out with some strategy on the basis the former analysis. Chapter 6 focused on application of the subject, using an actual program in Hangzhou as an exemplary design to prove the strategy brought out by this thesis. |
