In a project, we often use relevant structure to break up ice in order to prevent the ocean ice disaster. The structure that this paper studies is a sheet pile wall structure. The pile can break up the large ice block into small pieces, in this way we can enhance the stabilization of the sheet pile wall structure. The mechanics property of the ocean ice is the inherent factor that affects the interaction between the ocean ice and the structure. When the stress of the ice block reaches the intensity limit, the ice force also reaches the limit point, so the intensity of ice determines the ice force directly. The interaction between the sheet pile wall structure and the ice load can be divided into two parts. The first is the interaction between the pile and the ice, the other is the interaction between the sheet wall and the ice. The present ice force formulae can not be used to this structure precisely because of the specialties of the sheet pile wall structure. This paper uses ice test method to solve the problem of the project, and the ice model test is the main section of this paper. This paper not only introduces the laboratory equipment and the test principle detailedly, but also describes the test process, such as model designing, sensor recording, water liquor concocting, ice making, ice force testing and so on. The ice force model test has been done in the Tianjin University ice engineering laboratory since many years ago. I combine the formers' experience and knowledge with what I have learned, then I write the ice test integrally. I think this maybe helpful to the latter people who work in this field. During the test we control every section very strictly, so the result of the test is credible.
