The crack of massive concrete is a problem which has been taken care of by engineering field. In order to prevent and control the cracks, simulated analysis on the massive concrete becomes an important research.Based on the finite element method ,and with the practice of controlling the temperature of No.6 pier of the Yellow River double deck bridges for highway and railway in Zhengzhou, this paper does further research on the temperature field and stress field of the massive concrete. Such as the main content:(1) It tells the characters and reasons of the massive concrete ,and analyses the principle and the mechanism of cracks .(2) By use of Midas software,it analyses the temperature field of pier by simulation; according to the practical datum of temperature,it shows the regulations of the temperature field and stress field.(3)With the finite element method,it shows the influence of the temperature field and stress field on the lower structure by building the upper structure, especially the dimmension effect of it to the lower one in details.(4)According to the conclusions of this paper and the results of domestic and overseas researches in the field,it gives some advice and methods to prevent the crack of the massive concrete;meanwhile, it analyzes the parameters which may affect the cooling, such as the water's temperature, the interval between the pipes, the volume of flow which affect the maximum temperature and makes some useful conclusions.Based on the heat conduction theory and the finite element software,it simulates the process of controlling the temperature, then makes the related conclusions by comparing the theory dadum with the practical ones which will provide the necessary theory for preventing the cracks and make some contributions to the engineering practice.
