The research on underwater acoustic passive positioning technology about high speed moving target is always the hotspot in the domain of underwater acoustic. The underwater acoustic passive positioning system can track and show the 3-dimensional trajectory of moving target by measuring its sailing noise. This passive positioning system is composed of buoy subsystem which lies in the ocean and the other subsystem operates on boat. Collecting and processing underwater acoustic signal is the main task of buoy subsystems; Tracking and showing the trajectory of moving target and monitoring the whole system is the main work of the subsystem on boat. This dissertation is focused on the design of wireless base station which is one part of the subsystem on boat. Three main contents about the design of wireless base station will be discussed: the design of hardware, FPGA software and DSP software. The hardware system of wireless base station is a digital communication control system which is centered on DSP and FPGA. Its external devices include spread spectrum communication broadcasting station and GPS receiver. Managing and controlling the logic of bottom hardware interface is completed by the FPGA software. DSP software is used to realize the wireless communication protocol. In addition, DSP software will also realize data communication between base station and computer.
