As the key technique used to analyse the manipulative capability of rudder system, load simulation plays an important role in development of the new rudder system. In this dissertation, the mathematic model of the electric load simulation system based on direct drive motor (DDM) was developed. Based on the characteristic analyse, the high accuracy and fast response are realized by single neuron adaptive PID controller and experiment researcher.Firstly, the math model of the DDM, which is the executing core in load simulation system, is giver in the paper. Based on the math model, the stability condition of torque servo system and no interferential track capability is analysed with frequency characteristic means. The result of analyse shows the system is fit for torque load simulation system. Through feed-back emendation, system could satisfy the command of load simulation for electric powered rudder system.Secondly, the speed is used to compensate the surplus torque, which is emphasis and difficulty in load simulation system. The simulation results show that the method is useful to restrain the surplus torque.also, the effect of shafting inertia and stiffness to surplus torque is analyzed, the result show that shafting stiffness has two sides to surplus torque, and decrease the inertia could restrain the surplus torque in effect.Third, the load simulation system is a nonlinear modal and strongly interferential, so a new single neuron adaptive PID controller is proposed. The controller not only arm with the advantage of of PID which is simple and easy to adjust, but also could real-time online adjust. The single neuron through adjust the feature weights based on quadratic index; the system's capability of self-studying, self-organizing and robust is improved.At last, electric load simulator equipment is designed and established. The control software is also carried out. The experiments validate the results in the paper, and lay an excellent foundation for working further development.
