Research On Implementing Of Integration Of Public Transit In Urban And Suburbs

During the urbanization of our county, the communication between suburbs and urban in economy and culture is more and more frequent, and residents travel demand has been increasing. But the pattern of transportation in suburb is different from urban public transit. Further more, the suburb transportation is not considered in the city public transit planning. The paper specializes in the necessity and content, aiming at the transit problem on coordinated development of urban and suburb.Firstly,after an analysis of process of urbanization and city development, the paper puts forward that suburbs is transitional during urbanization, coordinated development of urban and suburb is the trend.Secondly, after analysis on the features of the transit of urban and suburb, the paper states the necessity and the signification of integrative of public transit. Also it analyses the key factors and states the content and thought of implementing.Then, means of stops and network in the integrative of public transit is suggested. The network falls into three grades and the transit hub falls into two grades.Finally, the theory and means of integrative transit is used in the example of Chengdu to describe the application.
