The Research On The Strategies Of Urban Mixed Community

With decades of the improvement and practicing, the theory of housing mix is now playing a more important role in residential planning nowadays. A great deal of residence communities in China are established on the base of the theory guidance of traditional way of functional zoning. While in the development of residential planning these years, there come up more and more disputable issues.Surveyed the relevant theories and practice of the development of mix-housing, the paper analyzes mass of residences in China that are erected according to the theory of functional zoning, pointing out the problem and then providing a sequent solution pertinently.The dissertation consists of six chapters.The first chapter describes the research background, and sets the research object, structure and method, and defines the category of "urban mix-housing". The second chapter reviews the relevant theories, research tendency and practice course of the mixing pattern development both home and abroad, thus erecting the platform of this research. The third chapter, concerning differentiated patterns of residences in China, investigates the practical problems that facing the existing residences, then explains the plausible reason. The fourth chapter brings forward diverse mixing strategies that pertinent to functional mix, classical mix and typology mix respectively. The fifth chapter, by means of studying some certain cases internationally, summarizes the experience and weak points in the area of mixing strategy. The final chapter of the dissertation summarizes the main viewpoint and prospects the trend of following research.
