With the wide use of information technology, computer technology and network technology in transportation, modern marine technology has already brought about a huge revolution, software has infiltrated into all aspects of marine research. In order to complete the erection of the box girder bridge, we developed ship dynamic positioning system based on satellite compass, with the computer software to solve the problem of steel box girder transportation and positioning.The ship dynamic positioning system is based on the raster charts and centered on satellite compass. For the charts application, raster charts involved the coordinate conversion principle from geographical coordinate to screen coordinate, and satellite compass is course indication equipment that can meet modern navigation and positioning needs, which can provide highly accurate positioning and direction. We use coordinate conversion principle and satellite compass indication and positioning theory, combining with the ship attitude control software, to complete the steel box girder precise positioning and guarantee the erection of Xi Houmen Bridge.The development of ship attitude control software, satisfies both the plan and technology requirements of tagboat assisted dynamic positioning. The software can display the ship location and course, also the deviation of box girder and hoisting location. The shipping attitude control software as the base, along with the adjustment of the power and rudder direction, to ensure the ship can keep a precise poisoning in a while.Ship dynamic positioning system not only solved the problem of Xi Houmen Bridge steel box girder precise positioning, but also can be used in other shipping positioning projects. This thesis provides the coordinates conversion principle and the satellite compass indication and positioning theory, elaborating the whole process of ship dynamic positioning system designing and ship attitude control software developing, achieving the goal of combining the software development to resolve the ship positioning problem, and setting an example for the software applied to marine research.
