With increasing age of the building, the safe reliability of the reinforced concrete members are challenged attention in the field of civil engineering.Strengthening by steel armoured is an effective method for increasing degree of safety and decreasing possibility of accident and elongating service life in the reinforced concrete structure.This paper mainly studies the limited load-carrying capacity and distortion characteristics of the angle reinforced concrete short column with the different section and the different space between slabs.Then,the type of finite element model and the constitutive equations are introduced.The three-dimensional and nonlinear finite element analysis is made for the angle reinforced concrete short column based on ANSYS.Through comparing and analyzing the results of computation and experimentation, the finite element analysis results have a fairly good agreement with experiment ones and the finite element model is proved rational.The behavior of the angle reinforced concrete short column structure under load are also well shown which enable a deep research on the mechanics as well as the effects of relative parameters.Above all,the three-dimensional and nonlinear finite element analysis plays a tremendous role in reducing the experiment work,obtaining more reliable data and expanding engineering application and so on.
