Abstract/Summary:
The container transport, as a kind of a unique advantage mode of transport, has become an important and irreplaceable means in the current context of economic globalization. With the rapid development of container transport, there is higher and higher level of the container station demand from the customer. The import containers in the container station need to be stored for a period in the container station for the unknown time the customer pick up the containers. Usually, the containers which wait to be picked up are just placed at the first tier are squeezed to downside due to the random coming of other containers. Therefore, such containers to be picked up need much transposition operation. Such case usually happens. Most of the domestic container stations are configured with the front hanging engaging the transposition work, which is not a kind of value-added service and should be avoided as much as possible. Of course, a certain degree of transposition operation is inevitable in order to improve the working efficiency and ensure service quality. Operators of the container station hope that the transposition rate is as low as possible while meeting the needs of the customer.In order to meet both ends, the paper aims to provide some useful suggestion of the choice of transposition principle by means of simulating the transposition operation in the container station.The paper first makes a comprehensive summary of the related knowledge of the container station, discusses the facilities in the container station, import and export processes, the storage principle in the container station and transposition principle in detail, which provides the theory basis and practice method of this topic.Secondly, the paper analyzes the container arrival model in the container station and its probability distribution, produces the random data subordinated to the distribution and provides the mathematical basis for calculating the transposition rate in order to build up the simulation model of container transposition rate. Thirdly, the paper adopts a bay as the study object, specifically for the simulation of the transposition operation of the import containers. Taking account into the actual operating difficulties, the model makes certain degree of simplification to the practical issue.Finally, the paper realizes the optimization choice of different transposition principle operation through the comparison and analyses of the simulation data results and helps the container station operator choose the reasonable transposition operation mode according to different cases. Also, the paper makes prospect of the issue and puts forward the future study direction.
