In many industrial factories, we usually use shoulder beam joint connect upper column (I-shaped cross section) and downer-column (CFST). And there are 2 kinds of side-column shoulder beam joint, one is upper column's outer-flange tangent with downer CFST column; the other is upper column's outer-flange intercross with downer CFST column. No matter which kind of them, the joint panel is big, stress complex, and stress concentration severity. Nowadays, there are no article reporting it. So, it's significance to research on shoulder beam joint.According to actual projects, the article built side-column shoulder beam joint FEM models considering material non-liner. It study on joint load capacity, shoulder beam joint flange, web and stiffening ribs stress distribution, column limb stress, the influence of web's thickness, and some hysteretic behavior of shoulder beam joints. Finally, experimental research on the stress's distribution of shoulder beam joint's flange, web and stiffening ribs comparing with FEM numerical simulation though making Specimens.The reasult shows that: Two kinds of joints have similar stress perform, but difference in peak value, which inosculate with experimental result; no matter which kinds of shoulder beam joint shear failure is major destroy form; there are some difference in stiffen ribs; There is no use changing stress distribution in influence column-limb's stress, which is distributed by stiffeness; The shoulder beam joint have fully hysteresis curve, which show the joint have better dynamic performance; Web's thickness could infulence joint's load capacity and stiffeness.
