The Research On Electric Motor's Real-time Temperature Measurement Technology

The electric motor's temperature rise caused by run directly affects the electric motor's lifetime and the reliability. The accurate estimating of the electric motor's temperature rise not only ensures that the motor runs in a good condition, but also can extends the lifetime of the electric motor, saves raw material and energy. It makes sense to realize an automation design. The intelligent motor protection we have designed can realize the functions of time lock, password protection and temperature measure. The temperature measure is the most important part of the protection. If the temperature is excessive, the motor can be protected to reduce the loss to a minimum.Data collection, management and transmission are carried out by AT89S52.Time control is carried out by DS1302.The current temperature, the current time and the causes of tripping are displayed by HD7279.We use the serial communication highway interface RS-232 standard interface to realize the two-way communication function between PC(Personal Computer) and MCU (Micro Control Unit).The setting time and the overdue time are given by superordination machine. The control program was designed by C language and the user interface was programmed by VB. After the motor hardware and software being in harmony successful, we can get the data of the temperature and the time. The relay can acts when the setting time arrives or the temperature is excessive. We analyzed the collected temperature data of the motor using data fusion technology, which had improved the systematic reliability.At present, the intelligent protection has already been applied to the motor manufacturer, and it will be used widely in the future.
