An acoustic environment has suffered significantly from an increasing of expounding road traffic, urban road construction and so on. And noise barrier, an effective and economical way, is widely used domestic and international. But how to improve its performance, and cut down the cost, is a problem of importance to improvement residents the living environment quality.Firstly, this paper deeply analysis principle of decline characteristic of noise barrier: circuitousness, transmission, reverberation; then theories analysis and the calculator imitate of structure of sound insulation, absorption structure, micro-perforated, research three parameters to influence of micro-perforated, get value scope reasonable and respectively influence characteristic. These works is thorough and completely provide theories foundation for research noise barrier.Secondly, according to upper results, this paper proposes a number of noise barrier structures, and presents their insert losses band based on simulations via SYSNOISE, while comparing the insert losses with each other of rigid surfaces.We can find out that micro-perforated structure present better performance, and their insert losses are higher than normal noise barrier. Also, the research proves that the micro-perforated structure can provide excellent insert loss between design frequency band and better noise reduction without any additional absorbent material.Finally, aim at the work environment of dissimilarity, get adapted three design projects of noise barrier, show acoustics calculate, mode vibration modality and wind load verify. Thus theoretical analysis proves that micro-perforated structure can satisfy the demands of urban traffic noise reduction. Therefore micro-perforated structure will be a promising way for urban traffic noise control.
