Water hydraulic, using the tap water as working medium directly, possesses not only the common advantage of hydraulic but also other outstanding performance in some aspects of protecting environment, saving energy resource and wide application etc. Water hydraulic now has become one of the main fields in technology progress and innovation of the hydraulic industry.Pump is the energy power of hydraulic system. The gear pump has an excellent performance in simple structure, low cost and wide application. It is not sensitive to the pollution of oil, and is used widely in all kinds of industries. Now pure water piston pump has already achieved the serial products in the world, but the research of pure water gear pump is still a new research field in the world, and there is not any products used in practice. After the literatures review, this paper gave a comprehensive overview of the current situation, fundamental problems, and development direction of water hydraulic. The flow field inside water hydraulic external gear pump was numerically simulated and analyzed via flow visualization, and new composite material was applied in the design and manufacture of the pump. It will overcome the severe leakage, friction, wear and cavitation to ensure the life-span of the pump.In the research of water hydraulic technology, the water hydraulic flow field inside the external gear pump was simulated using the software of ADINA. Flow pattern and hydraulic radial force were analyzed according to the pressure nephogram and velocity vector of the pump model. Besides, the flow-pressure characteristics and volume efficiency of pump were deduced as well, which will forecast the performance of water hydraulic external gear pump.In the design and manufacture of the pump, modern engineering materials and surface engineering technology were analyzed, which were situated for the manufacture of water hydraulic pump components. Also, the friction and wear performance of PTFE composite under water lubrication condition was researched and tested. The model machine was redesigned and manufactured, which is a typical gear pump with No. GPC4-32 made by Parker Tejing Hydraulics (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. Finally, the experiment was conducted on the water hydraulic test-bed. |
