Therefore, the SVG format power graphics generation based on CIM is a very meaningful task.This paper discussed automatic generation power graphics based on CIM in power dispatch system based on the study of the IEC61970 standard graphics generated on the basis of requirements, including SVG file structure, SVG / CIM modeling, graphic element creating, network topology analysis, Object orientation of the electricity power graphics layout algorithm. Finally we designed intelligent graphics generation program based on CIMThis paper includes six chapters. Chapter 1 describes the existing problem of the power system graphics software, the application of the standard of IEC61970, the actuality of SVG technology at home and abroad, and it introduces the main principle of this paper and the major work we have done. Chapter 2 describes SVG technology associated with power system graphics in detail. Chapter 3 introduced CIM standard, SVG/CIM modeling technology, the description of power graphic element and discussed SVG exchange technology based on CIM. Chapter 4 analyzed and summarized layout algorithm of power network and transform substation. Chapter 5 described the flow of the design of the graphics generation software which is based on CIM, It included the creation of graphics element, the establishment of memory model and topological analysis. It determines the connection among the graphics element according the topological analysis, and determines the location of power graphics element in accordance with topological analysis and layout algorithm. At last, it generates graphics. Chapter 6 described the work that we have done and the further work we will do.
