Considering the demands of suspension use of H-Section steel plane truss and heavy overhaul equipments in the project of overhauling storehouse in motor trainset in Peking South Railway Station, the analysis of dynamic performance of H-Section steel plane truss and the affection of suspended mass such as overhaul equipments on the dynamic performance of truss was illustrated in this paper.(1) The existence of suspended mass may affect the dynamic performance of truss structures greatly. The modal analysis for both single frame structure and the general structure had been carried out by the commercial FEM code ANSYS in two cases which differed on the simulation of suspended mass. By the comparison of analysis results, the affection of suspended mass on dynamic performance of truss structure was presented in this paper, which could be referenced by structure designing engineer.(2) Heavy live load caused by accumulation had been applied to overhauling service plat which was suspended on the bottom chords. It was possible to result in large-amplitude vibration. From the results of dynamic response analysis by transient accumulation loads, suggesting dynamic amplification coefficients had been given to guide practical designing work.(3) Because of circulation function, large-amplitude of stress might happen to several parts of the whole overhauling service plat under accumulation impact loads. Based on dynamic analysis with accumulation loads, fatigue analysis was given to crucial elements.(4) It's necessary to consider the affection of suspending mass under the earthquake impact. The seismic response analysis was given to both the structure with suspending mass and the structure with no suspending mass. By comparison between the results of two different scenarios, the affection on structural seismic response by suspending mass had been given to guide practical structural design.
