More than half a century, especially after the 1980s, with the increase of water needed in agriculture, industry and life, the aqueduct is developing in water runoff, structure type and construction method and so on, the runoff is developing from several m3/s to several hundred m3/s.The project of South-to-North water transfer is a great project, because the water of the project of South-to-North water transfer flow automatically, little loss allowed for every aqueduct, so the size is big. As the project is important and huge, general rebar concrete structure not only can't solve the problem of anti-seepage, but also make the aqueduct wall and motherboard thick. This increases its weight consumedly. All of these lead to the increment of project about the aqueduct structure and the underground part and the project is uneconomical. Therefore, in order to increase the span of aqueduct and reduce the size of structure, we adopt the project of three-direction pre-stressed concrete structure and pre-stressed construction technique in order to suit for the economical need.In this paper, according to the characteristic of hugeness and complexity about the aqueduct, I applied structural mechanics in the three-direction pre-stressed concrete design and analysed the characteristic of stress and design means in a representative aqueduct. So the aqueduct can satisfy the need of stress and anti-seepage, on the other hand, the project is economical.
