From the 1990's, ECUs used in the automobile are greatly increased because of the people's increasing demands for a higher comfortable, dynamic and economic automobile. Therefore it brings many problems, such as the increasing cost of the product, the raising complexity of the electron circuit and the decreasing dependability. To meet the need of more and more automobile electronics equipment, the automobile network birth. Now the automobile network has become a complex system.Nowadays, the network widely used in automobile contains the Local interconnect network, the Controller area network .Moreover, the developing networks including FlexRay, MOST and BlueTooth, WirelessLAN and so on. In the lower speed body controlling system of the automobile, the mixed network of lower speed CAN bus and LIN bus is now being more and more widely used.This paper based on the existing automobile network, mainly analyze the characters of LIN bus and CAN bus. Moreover, compare six schemes of CAN/LIN network used in the body controlling system and find out the best one. Then successly realize the design of door control demo system based on the best schemes of CAN/LIN network. This article mainly introduces the design of hardware and software.This system use Protel DXP to accomplish the circuit design and PCB layout. The hardware design contain the Master ECU MC68HC908GZ60 and its peripheral circuit, the switch detection module, the LIN communication interface module, the CAN communication interface module, the fault display and alarm module(driver module) and the PC interface module. The software design uses C language programming based on the Codewarrior plat. Accomplish the LIN communication driver design. Realize the whole system software design based on the PC control and the switch detection control.The result indicate that LIN is low-cost and complementry of CAN.
