| Transparency theory in renovation of old houses, as a meaningful subject full of possibilities, is based on the concerns of international research, problems on practice and practice itself. The author mentioned the relationship between the concept of"Transparency"and renovation of old buildings. It is necessary to take the historical transparency into consideration in the process of conversion, as much as possible or at least the key hints, thus to prolong historical information and to achieve"transparent"conversion in spatial experience. As for the relationship between segment, layers, transparency and gestalt philosophy, which consist of the most important characters in the conversion with historical information and spatial experience, this article starts with the theoretical bases by using the transparency concept of Colin Rowe to analyze the function of spatial experience shift and the affects of visual psychology. There are various connections between the two kinds of transparency according to the concept. No matter what it refers to, the history of transparent material development (literal transparency) or the spatial transition (phenomenal transparency), transparency in architecture is something on materialism in form of still space. However, there is not much to study if we refer only to literal transparency. So, the main purpose is to understand part of the methods and characteristics in conversion of the phenomenon transparency, and to use "Literal transparency" as a means of the emotional expression of the reconstruction. The third chapter mainly deals with the analysis of transparent construction techniques and profiles of psychological development, while the fourth with a transparent and comprehensive analysis of specific characteristics of shape,to get a conclusion of transparent space features in conversion. Together with the complexity of human mind, it makes sense in the pursuit of architectural space characters, and the transparency here is not a still concept to describe. In Chapter 5, the article will achieve a systematic method of application in conversion——information extraction and selection, indexing of transparency, and style of recombination to form the new structure of organisms. The author tries to set a critical standard, hoping to offer some help to other practicers. |
