The infrared bearing temperature detecting system of the rolling stock is an important device to ensure rail transport safety and protect the bearing from burning. Fully absorbing the experience of historical development and mature technology and by means of computers and the rapid development of network technology, the rapid development of China's rail transport industry, the speed-up of traffic and the gradual reducing of the intervals make it inevitable historically and technically to adopt Automatic Train Control (ATC) in the system to quickly establish a high-level third-generation infrared bearing temperature detecting system.This paper begins with an analysis of the basic working principles of the system used currently. In this part, the attention is focused on the research of the system's network structure, the topology and communication protocol to make the establishment of the network more scientific and transmission channels, monitoring center and configuration of Detection Station more reasonable.As an important basic protection system concerned with train operation, it should be developed with Automatic Train Protection (ATP), a system consisting of ground equipment, train equipment as well as train-ground communication, protecting the train running and monitoring the devices or systems concerned with safety. The main concern of this paper includes exploring the interface between the system and train operation auto control system, analyzing the system components and packet transmission under CTCS2 as well as theoretical model of data transmission of the system under wireless communication and the accuracy of hot bearing tracking.Finally, this paper achieves the hot bearing discrimination algorithm by means of Fuzzy Math's logic, that is, to discriminate the hot bearing by fuzzy inference according to our knowledge about bearing and the experts' experience and then writes a program, a database management system aiming at the railway system, which can provide fast and reliable information about bearing temperature for scheduling train running, therefore fulfills the task of safety protection by combining with train traction calculation that stimulates the train brake curve.
