Inclined-layer placing method of roller compacted concrete dam technology has been used in many engineering applications, with the traditional built-layer compared, inclined-layer placing method is more convenient, more economical, more efficient. The research of the temperature and thermal stress of roller compacted concrete dam, our predecessors in this regard have already made a lot of important results, but there is no quantitative criteria summarized about using inclined-layer placing method. In this paper study the effect of inclined-layer placing method on the thermal field and thermal stress so as to provide a basis for the construction design. In this paper, the theory of heat conduction is derived from temperature and the temperature stress of the finite element method theoretical formula. APDL language of ansys are used to compile the simulation and analysis programs of thermal field and thermal stress. In the program, the effect of stratified pouring, construction interval, the change of modulus of elasticity, the adiabatic rise of temperature, the change of ambient temperature, concrete creep and the breach flow on temperature field and thermal stress field are considered.Based on an actual project, two different methods of inclined-layer placing method and layer-built method are used to analysis thermal field and the thermal stress. some theoretical hope for the future research in this area can provide some reference Through the analysis to result, a few conclusions have been found to offer reference to the research of inclined-layer placing method.
