Research On Wave Simulating Equipment For Harbor Engineering

The effect of tide and wind has to be considered while simulating waves in Harbor Engineering. To simulate waves accurately, active absorption wave-maker, flow generating system and wind generating system are indispensable equipment.As the most advanced wave generating equipment at present, the active absorption wave-maker can eliminate the secondary reflection waves in harbor engineering experiment and simulate waves more accurately, so it can improve the testing precision of port, seashore, offshore engineering and other model testing. On the theory basis of the related research home and abroad, the motion control equation of active-absorption wave-maker has been deduced, and the application of the equation through the control of computer has been emphasized. Every part of the wave-maker has been designed, and the communication between numerical simulation and control system, the high frequency timing and counting, the design of routine interface and man-machine interface have been accomplished.According to the requirement of flow generating technology, the hydraulic calculation of pipeline, the fixing of pipe diameters, the type selection of the pump to generate flow and the design of the control system by frequency conversion to change speed have been done. The performance of the flow generating system has been tested. And the outcome shows that the flow generating system has good linear characteristics, and that it can meet the technology requirement for flow generating.According to the requirement of wind generating technology, the type selection of the blower and the design of the control system by frequency conversion to change speed have been done. And the outcome shows that the wind generating system has good linear relation, and that it can meet the technology requirement for wind field simulation.At last, a series of tests of non-absorption wave generating and active absorption wave generating has been done in the flume, with the analysis of the incident wave height or energy, the wave shape stability and the absorption rate. The result shows that the method suggested in this paper can resolve the matter of secondary reflection in wave simulating process efficently. The deviation between the parameter of the generated wave and the target value of wave meets the demand of"The regulations of wave model experiment".
