This paper discussed the close cycle controlling theories on gasoline engine ignition; introduced the structure and working principles of the controlling ignition system of gasoline engine. On this base, we designed the ECU hardware and software of the knock feedback controlling ignition system. We introduced the development of the electronic controlling of engine and the history of the controlling ignition system. We expatiated on the basic theories of ignition system of gasoline engine. We also analyzed the principles and characteristics of various sensors and execution machines. We introduced the related theories knowledge of the knock detecting. Considering our situation, we determined the kind of knock sensor, the evaluating indicator and the controlling strategy of knock feedback controlling ignition system.Aiming at the requirements of the close cycle controlling ignition, we determined the related sensors and execution machines. Through evaluating various controlling CPUs, we took XC167CI-16F40F, a high performance 16-bit microcontroller, as the main controlling processor that is specially designed for automobile electronics and industrial applications by Infineon. We separately designed the sensor signal adjustment circuits, ignition driver circuits. Also, we made the circuit board of adjusting the knock signal. According to the view of software engineering, we designed the modularization framework programming model. Modularization programming is an effective method to organize software project. It could divide the complex tasks into easier ones and it could be helpful for the clarity. Different modules could be developed at the same time and debugged separately to increase the development efficiency. Finally, we finished the ECU hardware universal debugging and obtained the fundamental purpose of the knock feedback controlling ignition. It provides a powerful support for the following developments of electronic controlling system on vehicle.
