According to the phenomenon that running performance of cool-end system can't reach the design value at home and abroad, the whole cool-end system will be optimized in this paper. The integral model of cool-end system will be established. This paper will take the modified comprehensive coal cost consumption rate based on energy value analysis as target value, and the optimum process will be translated into computer language. Combining with the actual running condition about 300MW unit of one power plant, the circulating water pump will be changed method of operation containing constant speed pump,two-speed pump and vane governor pump when other operational factors keep changeless, therefore, the optimum operation result about unit plant and extended unit plant will be gained respectively, and these results can be used to guide unit operation accurately.
