Under the projects "working state of pump valve and multi-parameter Non-shock" supported by the National Science Foundation and "Security System of the Offshore Platform" supported by PetroChina Company Limited. This paper does some research on the pump valve and pumping unit. Therefore, this paper can be divided into two parts: the research of Feature Extraction in Fault Diagnosis of Typical Equipment and the research & application of GSM-based Remote Failure Alarm Equipment.Feature extraction is one of the most important and difficult topic in the fault diagnosis of mechanical equipments. It is directly related to the accuracy of fault diagnosis and reliability of early fault prediction. The pump valve is a key part of a pump, the property of which will affect the reliability of a pump. However, it is also one of the weakest componentsof the pump. Generally speaking, the service life of the valve is only several ten hours and it has to be changed frequently. What's worse, there are three input and three output valves respectively in one pump. As a result, the worker has to tell the defect valve from the good ones before replacing it. The traditional method is to discern the fault valve by listening to the six pump valve one by one This method is not only unreliable but also harmful to the worker's health. This paper puts forward a new method for fault diagnosis of drilling pump valve based on improved HHTResearch on theory and method is very important, the reliability and accuracy of the result can be improved by this way. But the ultimate objective of Fault Diagnosis is Prevention, maintenance and diagnosis by these methods. As we know, the quantity of satellite platform is numerous and its distribution scope is broad. At the same time, our country has established a powerful GSM wireless digital net of mobile communication which can cover the whole oil field. Therefore this paper develops the GSM-based Remote Failure Alarm Equipment on the basis of some modern technology, such as single-chipped computer controlling, GSM wireless communication and so on. This equipment can reach the unified control and management of all kinds of the electrical installations to reduce the maintenance charge of the whole system, to improve its movement efficiency and to meet the variety and flexibility of the control method.The function of this equipment can be divided into three aspects: Data acquire, condition monitoring and monitor & alarm. The technical design and electrical installation choice of software and hardware used in the equipment are in detail described and analyzed. This paper also points out some tips, which include the printed circuits board routing, software flow chart and so on. This equipment has passed the debugging in the field. Based on the different sensor, this equipment can be used in different field, such as the auto guard against theft, family theftproof door system and authorize door system and so on.
