Whether the quality of electricity power can meet the needs of economic development or not is one of the prominent problems. Monitoring and analysis of the quality of electricity is the critical partition of modern electricity power development.Based on analysis of monitoring of the quality of electricity power, we compared the common methods used in the power system for bottom data communication. By deciding the suitable data format for communications, we compressed the amount of data transfered. We also adopted the serial way to ensure the stability of communications. We analyzed six parameters of the quality of electricity power through calculating: difference of voltage,common harmonic grid,fluctuations in voltage,no balance of three phase voltage,frequency difference and impulse voltage. The parameters are displayed in a graphic way with print, historical curve analysis functions and so on. Compared with the domestic technology, the power quality monitoring data processing system offers more functions and more friendly interface. We also analyzed the data format of PQDIF and summarized its advantages in the monitoring of the quality of electricity power. With standard COM component of IEEE, we implemented the format transformation in PQDIF in the quality of electricity power which ensures the system universal and compatible.The power quality monitoring data processing system has great advantage in stability,universality,practicality,capability of data store,speed of system and diversity of functions to the domestic technology.
